About The Batterie
The Batterie is Chattanooga's curated boutique dancewear store, dedicated to giving dancers and their families a magical, joyful, and supportive shopping experience. We are known for our warm atmosphere, expert fittings, and beautifully curated space — and our Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in bringing that same energy to the world outside our doors.
About the Role
We're looking for a creative, organized, and driven Marketing Coordinator to manage and grow The Batterie's digital presence, community events, ambassador program, and studio outreach. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves dance, thrives in a boutique environment, and gets excited about building a brand people genuinely love.
Responsibilities
Social Media
- Plan and post consistently to both feed and stories, including weekly Deal of the Month content, event teasers, and sale promotions
- Create engaging reels with the goal of growing reach within the dance community
- Run monthly online contests to drive engagement
- Promote each sale or event with a minimum of four posts per event
- Grow social media following by at least 5% annually
Website & Online Sales
- Keep the website organized, up to date, and visually appealing with product photos and descriptions
- Ensure at least 80% of in-store inventory is listed online
- Optimize the site for search visibility
- Fulfill website and Eurotard drop-ship orders within 2 business days
- Continuously look for ways to improve the online shopping experience and drive sales
Event Organization & Promotion
- Lead planning and promotion for Assemble and other store events
- Secure vendors at least 2 months in advance; reach out to studios 3 months in advance
- Design graphics, flyers, and professional event programs
- Coordinate staff roles during events and keep things running smoothly
- Gather feedback after each event and apply it going forward
Ambassador Program
- Promote the ambassador program to attract at least 20 qualified applicants annually
- Draft clear, incentivizing ambassador contracts
- Communicate monthly with ambassadors about photo opportunities and responsibilities
- Follow up consistently and hold ambassadors accountable to their commitments
- Evaluate and improve the program each season
Studio & Community Outreach
- Ensure rack cards are placed and maintained at local dance studios
- Send email newsletters once a week featuring store news, sales, and events
- Send two promotional texts per sale or event
- Purchase and coordinate advertisements in studio recital programs
- Represent and speak positively about The Batterie at studio events and in the dance community
In-Store Support
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and product education
- Support restocking, inventory, and store organization as needed
What We're Looking For
- Passion for dance and the dance community (dance background a plus!)
- Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing
- Strong written communication and graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Self-motivated, creative, and always thinking of new ideas
- Friendly, professional, and a true team player
- Experience with Square, email marketing platforms, or website management is a bonus
